Two good options — but the right one depends on where you work. Here's the honest breakdown.
Share on WhatsAppKatraj wins on both rent (₹8,000 cheaper/month for 2BHK) and commute (faster to more offices). It's the stronger all-round pick.
Katraj saves ₹8,000/month on 2BHK rent compared to Nigdi — that's ₹96,000 per year. Over a typical 2-year rental tenure, that gap adds up to ₹192,000. Since Katraj also has competitive commute times, it is the stronger all-round value pick.
Katraj is in South Pune; Nigdi is in North Pune — they serve different office clusters. Professionals working in the South belt will almost always find Katraj faster; those in the North corridor should favour Nigdi.
Nigdi has Pune Metro connectivity while Katraj does not. If your office is metro-accessible, Nigdi's ₹855/month metro pass may save ₹5,000–₹12,000/month on commute costs — worth factoring in even if Nigdi carries a higher rent.
Katraj has the clear rent advantage — ₹8,000 cheaper per month for 2BHK.
