Two good options — but the right one depends on where you work. Here's the honest breakdown.
Share on WhatsAppUndri is ₹18,000 cheaper on 2BHK rent. Kothrud has a shorter commute to more offices. The right choice depends on where you work.
Undri saves ₹18,000/month on 2BHK rent compared to Kothrud — that's ₹216,000 per year. Over a typical 2-year rental tenure, that gap adds up to ₹432,000. Since Undri also has competitive commute times, it is the stronger all-round value pick.
Kothrud is in Central Pune; Undri is in South Pune — they serve different office clusters. Professionals working in the Central belt will almost always find Kothrud faster; those in the South corridor should favour Undri.
Kothrud has Pune Metro connectivity while Undri does not. If your office is near a metro line, Kothrud's ₹855/month metro pass can save ₹5,000–₹12,000/month compared to daily cab fares — a saving that can close or reverse any rent premium Kothrud might carry.
Undri has the clear rent advantage — ₹18,000 cheaper per month for 2BHK.
